The standards this site is written to

This site is patient education published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital. It is written to the hospital’s content standards and to the advertising rules governing medical content, which is why it reads differently from a commercial clinic site.

What this site does not do

It names no drug brand and no device brand, and no thread brand or material trade name; suspension sutures are described only as sutures that are absorbed. It quotes no dosage and no price. It ranks the two options in no order and sets neither above the other. It publishes no before-and-after gallery used as a promise, and it makes no claim that a particular result can be achieved.

No outcome is promised

Nothing here should be read as an offer of a specific result. Surgical planning depends on anatomy, healing and the limits of the tissue, and the result is judged months later rather than in the first weeks. How long a suture holds depends on the tissue it passes through and on absorption. Either decision is made only after a personal assessment.

Corrections

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, raise it through the hospital administration contact. Corrections affecting clinical meaning are reviewed by the responsible physician before publication.
