Why this comparison does not rank the two

Most pages that compare two treatments are built to move a reader toward one of them, and the layout says so before the text does: a column set apart, a verdict at the end. That structure cannot be trusted by someone who is genuinely deciding, because it has already decided. This site sets a surgical facelift and a suspension thread lift side by side as two different routes with different mechanisms. Both columns carry the same weight, neither is the default, and neither is described as the sensible first step or as what most people should have.

How the balance is kept

Each route has a guide that is candid about what it cannot do, and the two are held to the same standard. The surgical side names irreversibility, permanent scars, weeks of visible healing, nerve and bleeding risk, and the fact that a later operation is harder. The suture side names absorption, the temporary nature of the support, the inability to reposition deeper tissue, the variation between patients, and the dimpling and palpable sutures that follow. The cost guide explains what drives a total without quoting a figure, and one guide is given entirely to the cases in which neither route is the right answer.

How it is reviewed

Content is medically reviewed by Ke He, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics at Chongqing West District Hospital, who is the lead physician of this site and who performs the suture half of the comparison. The review date appears on every article. The site names no drug brand and no device brand, describes suspension sutures only as sutures that are absorbed, quotes no dosage and no price, ranks the two routes in no order, and states plainly that a facelift leaves permanent scars and cannot be undone.

What no website can do

It cannot tell you whether the change in your face is descent or volume loss, how much of each is present, how thick your tissue is, or whether a suture would hold in it. Those answers require an examination, and both routes are chosen from it rather than before it. It also cannot tell you how your face will age after either treatment, because that depends on your healing and on time. Read this site to arrive at an assessment able to ask precise questions, not to arrive at a conclusion without one.
